Merry Christmas from Sunrise Toastmasters

Hey there Toastmasters enthusiasts!

I hope this post finds you well, and that you’ve been sharpening your public speaking skills. Speaking of skills, the members of Sunrise Toastmasters in Portland, recently had a joyous Christmas party. We had an absolute blast, and I wanted to share the details with you.

Our club, like many others, has been gathering both online and in-person to practice our public speaking skills. It’s been an interesting journey, and we’ve all grown tremendously since joining the club. We decided to celebrate our progress with a festive get-together at Ernestos, an Italian restaurant in Portland.

The atmosphere at Ernestos was warm and welcoming, which made it the perfect spot for our gathering. We mingled and caught up with each other, sharing stories of our latest speaking engagements and personal victories. It was so nice to connect with each other in person, and it felt like we were one big family.

Of course, no party is complete without delicious food, and Ernestos did not disappoint. We enjoyed a wide variety of mouth-watering Italian dishes, with fresh sandwiches and salad. It was the perfect opportunity to relax, let loose, and indulge in some tasty treats.

We also held a round of holiday-themed Tabletopics, which was a big hit! Kamran won the competition this year with his outside-the-box overview of ethics. It was great to see everyone put their public speaking skills to the test in a fun and supportive environment.

All in all, it was a wonderful event that brought us all closer together. We celebrated our progress, shared some laughs, and enjoyed some delicious food. It was the perfect way to close out the year and ring in the holiday season.

If you’re thinking about joining Toastmasters, I highly encourage you to do so. You’ll meet some amazing people, learn new skills, and have a lot of fun along the way. And who knows, maybe next year you’ll be the one taking home the Tabletopics prize at the Sunrise Toastmasters Christmas party!

Until next time,

Sunrise Toastmasters
