First Hybrid Meeting of 2023 a Success!

Hello, friends!

I’m excited to share with you all about our recent hybrid meeting at Sunrise Toastmasters. We had a great turnout, with some members joining us in person at the Standards Insurance Building and others connecting virtually via Zoom.

During the meeting, we were treated to two wonderful speeches from our members. First up was Heather R., our VP of Membership, who gave a heartfelt book report. She shared insights from “Hug Your Customers: The Proven Way to Personalize Sales and Achieve Astounding Results,” and described how we can create cultures of compassion in our organizations. Her talk left us feeling inspired and motivated to bring more empathy into our daily lives.

Our second speaker was Faye K., one of our newer members. Faye gave a touching talk about the aging process, using a beautiful metaphor to describe the different ways we can relate to aging. Her eloquent words resonated with both our in-person and online audiences, keeping everyone engaged throughout her speech.

Overall, our hybrid meeting was a resounding success. We loved having the opportunity to connect with members both in person and virtually. It’s amazing to see how technology has allowed us to stay connected and engaged despite the challenges of the pandemic. We’re grateful to have the flexibility to meet in whatever format works best for each of us.

At Sunrise Toastmasters, we’re committed to helping each other improve our public speaking skills and connect with one another in a supportive community. We’re proud of our members for delivering such fantastic speeches and for embracing the hybrid format with enthusiasm.

If you’re interested in improving your public speaking skills and becoming a part of a welcoming community, we encourage you to check out Toastmasters. We’re confident that you’ll find a supportive environment that will help you grow both personally and professionally.

Thanks for reading, and we look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
